Franz, this should be available in 1.1, I’m investigating possible solutions for this problem. Non-Apple apps can’t run in the background, so trying out workarounds.

I’ll figure it out — I ran with my wife few nights ago so I know about the problem first hand. :)

I already heard similar resentment towards the icon, but decided to leave it as lower priority until few other features I’m keen to do are taken care off.
